Thanksgiving Dinner Party

Hosting Thanksgiving this year? I want to share a few ideas on how to make your dinner party stylish yet festive. Most dining room tables have some sort of light fixture above it ... maybe a chandelier? If so, don't forget to decorate that to coordinate with your theme. In the photo below they draped the fixture with grapes and grape vines, really tying the whole room together!

In the photo board below, I want to point out the place card of flowers that you can hang on the back of a chair. Sometimes the table can be so full of food being served family style, the centerpieces need to be scaled down. This is a way to bring festive floral into your setting without it taking up space on the table.

Give your guests a fun cocktail as they arrive. The Blood Orange Prosecco cocktail is just that. Add blood orange juice to your glass of Prosecco and garnish with a slice!

The china and the rattan chargers in the pictures to the right can be found on SALE at Sur La Table. Be sure to check out the new Sur La Table store that has just opened up at The Bravern in downtown Bellevue!

Bouquets...

Inspired by my winterboard posted previously--I am loving the vintage look lately as a few of my clients are going down path for their wedding decor. Summer or Winter, the rustic look can work for any season!

Helping hands...

Kristi's wedding last weekend was a fabulous family affair! They say it takes a village to raise a child, well it takes a village to make a wedding happen as well. From the cake to the favors...Brie and Kenton were so fortunate to have so many friends and family members step up and pitch in on their big day! It was such a pleasure working with everyone involved, especially one of the best Mother's of the Bride any bride could ask for!

More photos and extensive blogging to come...for now I will leave you with two great shots taken by the lovely Kate Price. Congrats Brie and Kenton!

Fall is here!

Hi all,
What a beautiful weekend it was last weekend! The sun was shining, the moon was full and we kicked off fall with a gorgeous fall inspired wedding. Rich amber, lots of gold, chocolate brown and ivory were the color palate for this wedding...not to mention, pumpkins galore!

I can't wait to share more photos and dish more about the wedding and one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. But for today I will leave you with one stunning photo--look at this AMAZING shot taken by Gerald Pope Photography. I would love to see this photo blown up on a huge canvas! Stay tuned for more to come...

Football Season is here...

This one is for all of the Cougs out there...

In honor of my Alma Mater and Cougar Football I thought I would post a fun photo...

As a wedding planner I get to see so many different styles of wedding photography and different kinds of shots. One of my ultimate favorite shots is of the men's cufflinks. Not sure why I am so drawn to that particular shot, but the photo below encompasses my love for the Cougs as well as the classic cufflink photo!

Enjoy…and always… GO COUGS!

It Wedding Workshop Time...

Hi friends,

Our wedding workshops are back and I am excited to let you all know that we will be hosting 3 more of them this fall. (Depening on how fast they fill up--we may accommodate more workshops.)

These workshops are designed to offer brides and grooms guidance as they take on planning one of the most exciting days of their life.

There are so many different options and ways to go about planning your wedding--why not attend one of our workshops and learn from a wedding planning expert how to go about planning your special day.

Here are a few topics we will be discussing...
  • Where do I start!?! - The wedding planner's guide...to planning!
  • The who, what, when and where to allocate your money! We will give you advice on what to ask vendors when interviewing them and how to plan to get the most bang for your buck on ANY wedding budget.
  • The Nitty Gritty...DETAILS; and how to manage them.
  • D-R-A-M-A: I have seen it all and will dish on ways to stay focused when every single person in your family seems to have an opinion on how YOUR wedding day should go!
  • 10 ways to SAVE and 10 ways to SPLURGE!
  • ...and so much more!
We really do like to have a lot of fun at these workshops -- come prepared with questions for our Q&A portion of the workshop and be prepared to learn!

When weddings cost as much as they do--it can't hurt to invest into learning more about weddings and how the whole planning process works!

Here are the dates and info:

Friday, November 6th @ 5:00pm

Saturday, November 7th @ 10:00am

Sunday, November 8th @ 10:00am

Investment Cost: $50 per person

Our workshops are 3 hours long and will include a 15 minute break for light eats and refreshments. We will send you home with a Lindeman Weddings Tote filled "with a few of our favorite things" as well as a wedding workbook outlining everything we cover in our workshops.

RSVP is required and space is limited. If you have any questions or would like to rsvp please do so to Erin at erin@lindemanweddings.com

All workshops will be held at our office at Country Village, just 20 minutes north of Seattle.
